7 Easy Weeknight Dinners Using Ingredients From Your Weekly Shop

After a long day, the last thing anyone wants is a complicated recipe with 25 ingredients and a sink full of dishes. These seven dinners were designed around real life: quick, satisfying, and made from ingredients you can order on Ms Online Shop this morning and have on your table tonight.

1. Garlic Butter Prawn Pasta (18 mins)

Cook spaghetti until al dente. Meanwhile, fry fresh prawns in butter, garlic, chilli flakes, and a squeeze of lemon. Toss together with a handful of parsley. That's it. Serve with crusty bread from one of our bakery vendors.

2. Teriyaki Salmon Rice Bowl (20 mins)

Pan-fry a salmon fillet and glaze with teriyaki sauce in the last two minutes. Serve over steamed rice with sliced avocado, edamame, and a drizzle of Japanese mayo. Fresh, filling, and genuinely impressive.

3. One-Pan Chicken Thighs with Roast Veg (30 mins)

Toss chicken thighs, cherry tomatoes, courgette, and capsicum in olive oil, smoked paprika, and oregano. Roast at 200°C for 25–30 minutes. One pan, minimal effort, maximum flavour.

“The secret to cooking fast on weeknights isn't being a good cook. It's having the right ingredients already in your fridge.”

— Aiko Tanaka

4–7: The Rest of the Week

  • Tuesday: Spicy pork larb lettuce cups with fresh herbs and lime (22 mins)
  • Wednesday: Creamy mushroom and spinach risotto using local mushrooms (25 mins)
  • Thursday: Halloumi tacos with mango salsa and chipotle crema (20 mins)
  • Friday: Crispy tofu fried rice, a great way to use up whatever veg is left in the drawer (15 mins)

All the ingredients for these meals are available on Ms Online Shop. Build a weekly meal plan in the app and add everything to your cart in one go with our Meal Plan feature, available in v2.0.
