Vendor Spotlight: Harley's Farm Fresh, Growing Local and Delivering Fresh

There's a quiet stretch of farmland south of Pukekohe where the soil is dark and the rows of vegetables seem to go on forever. This is where Harley Ngata has been farming for the past 15 years, and where some of Auckland's best produce begins its journey to the table.

From Market Stall to Digital Storefront

Harley started selling at the Otara Flea Market in 2011 with a single trestle table and a ute full of silverbeet and pumpkins. Word spread quickly. By 2015, he was a regular fixture at the La Cigale French Market in Parnell, beloved for his heritage tomatoes and hand-tied herb bundles.

“I never thought I'd be selling online. But Ms Online Shop made it so easy. They handled everything. I just keep growing the good stuff.”

— Harley Ngata, Harley's Farm Fresh

What Makes It Special

Harley doesn't use synthetic pesticides or herbicides. His farm is certified organic, and he plants according to lunar cycles, a practice he learned from his Māori grandmother that he credits with producing more flavourful crops. Every item is harvested within 24 hours of your order being placed.

  • Certified organic since 2013
  • Over 40 seasonal varieties available year-round
  • Harvested to order, never sitting in cold storage for days
  • Carbon-neutral delivery on all Auckland orders
  • 10% of profits donated to Kiwi Harvest food rescue

Shop Harley's Range

You can find Harley's full range on Ms Online Shop under the 'Local Farms' category. Look out for his limited seasonal drops. When the cape gooseberries arrive in April, they go fast.
